Does a one-time order stay active?
No. It ends with the order window. Use long-term rental when you need the same number later, and only if that app is listed.
A long-term rental keeps the same SMS number beyond one code. See when reuse matters, and how it differs from a one-time OTP order.
A long-term number rental is access to the same telephone number for longer than a single verification code. The point is reuse. Password resets, device checks, and 'confirm this number again' prompts can reach the line you already gave the app.

A one-time OTP order is the opposite contract. It exists for one window. When it closes, you should not expect later texts to appear in that order. People lose accounts when they assume a temporary inbox will still be there next month.
NonVoipOtp lists long-term numbers inside the account, separate from one-time USA and global orders. Availability depends on the upstream catalog. This page explains the idea. It does not publish a second price list.
Pay for duration when the app binds the account to the number. Messaging apps, payment apps, and ad accounts often send a second code days later. If you cannot receive that code, the account is stuck even though the first signup worked.
Skip the rental when you only need one code and you will not return to the account. A one-time order is the smaller commitment. Check the live price either way. Do not assume a rental is cheaper per day than it is per code.
Rental does not override an app's line-type rules. A long-term VoIP DID can still be rejected. Ask whether the rented line is a non-VoIP route before you build a workflow on it.
Write down whether the app will text you once or repeatedly. If you do not know, assume it will text again if the account holds money or a social graph. That assumption points to a rental, or to using your own SIM.
Create an account and open long-term numbers in the dashboard. If the app you need is not listed, do not invent a workaround with a one-time number. Use a different product or your own phone.
Wallet rules still apply. The minimum deposit is $3. Read the refund policy for what happens when a message does not arrive. A rental is not a promise that every future SMS will be delivered.
You are renting an inbox, not buying a mobile subscription with a handset, a caller ID you fully control, and port-out rights. Do not give the number to a service that requires you to be the long-term subscriber of record unless that is actually true.
Do not use a rented number to misrepresent identity or to keep an account that was closed for abuse. The acceptable use policy applies to rentals the same way it applies to one-time orders.
If you only needed the definition of a one-time line, go back to the temporary phone number entry. If you are ready to buy a single code, use the service catalog.

After you register, open Long Term Numbers in the dashboard. Public prices for one-time routes stay on the pricing page.
No. It is time-limited access to an SMS inbox. It is not a handset plan and it does not make you the carrier subscriber of record.
